Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena sniffs the air. "Hmmph.. Another person in the castle?" She silently glides down the hall, stopping in front of Rikali. "Research? Surely you would have better luck researching in a better equipped library.."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Shut up. You sound like Chaos. Besides, I didn't say "Oh! Siren! COME TO MY HOUSE!" she follows me like a puppy." Gale slowly sits up, with success this time. "Lara and Jekin? Hm. I figures, I haven't seen them at all around here."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Riki stares at Laena coldly. "The information I seek is not available in any public library."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena laughs at this. "Is that so? Would it not make more sense to search for information on legendary blades in a library stocked and tailored by the gods?" She walks around Rikali, smirking. I do not believe that you are here to research.. I believe you are here only to cause harm and annoyance to the owner of this castle. I'm afraid I cannot allow you to do such a thing." She raises her staff.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Haven't seen them much? Yes, you never were the type to go back and visit your old friends. Well, yes you were. Way back. . .but times change, don't they, Gale? Yes, they do. But that is not the point, I like visiting you guys. Good to know us Abbis haven't died out yet." Looks around the room. "Your castle is quite impressive. Nice and roomy. But the size bothers me. Why do you have so many empty rooms? And each room the size of an entire house in those small villages?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Haven't had much time to do things like visit old friends, unfortunately. I didn't make the castle. I just took it over. I'm assuming the original inhabitants were much greater in number. I just use the rooms I need."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I see. . . So, can I get you anything? Some water or so? Food? That reminds me, who's watching over you. . . and who brought you here?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"The Siren, Laena. She seems fond of me for some reason."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Pours himself a glass of water. And pours another glass for Gale. "Really? That's interesting. Ya know, maybe I'll stick around for a few days. So we'll have our training session later."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I think you need an alarm system." The voice comes from a window across the room. There, a figure--faintly recognizable to Gale--sits crouched with one arm on the upper sill for balance. A sheathed sword is clearly visible at his side.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Sure whatever, it's been on ****ty night. I'll spar with you as soon as I recover. For now I need rest. If you could...er..."mislead" Ayn or anyone who comes looking for me. I know you don't like getting invovled, but I rather not die. Not that way." Gale sips his water. He turns at seeing Fury One. "Gah.. You're Fury's brother. No wonder you snuck in so easily."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Turns to see who Gale is talking to. "Huh? Fury never told me he had a brother. Is this good or bad?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"This is Fury One. He isn't psycotic like Nyx, who has good reason to come after me after our fight in the past.. So tell me, Fury One, what do you want?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I have a lot of questions, Gale." Fury One hops down from the window into the room and stands. "I've seen everything that's been going on around here. What I'm seeing disturbs me some. Enough to make me come here."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Hmph. You and everyone else. You managed to sneak in. So ask."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Heh. Then I'll start with the most obvious question. The Siren that's been following you lately. Who is she?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"So much about the bloody Siren.." Gale mumbles, she was easily the topic of the day. "Her name is Laena, and we have met briefly before. I otherwise know nothing else about her. Despite her obvious ability of taking human form."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Doesn't help much. I didn't think you knew anything either, even though she seems so... Fond of you." He knew Gale wasn't going to know as much as he wanted, but he had to ask nonetheless. He may know something. "What about that demon that was with Rand in Tri-Link's? Why does Chaos want you dead? And who was that entity that stopped him?" The last question was probably the most futile one. Then again, he didn't have much to work with... That's why he's here.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"The demon with Rand....never met him (not sure on that to be honest. I know Ayn and Riki did), As far as Chaos wanting me dead, he seems to have made an deal with this Id character at the Cafe. Id wants me dead for whatever reason he has. The entity that learned Chaos away? I was out cold. When I woke up Chaos was gone."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I'd be careful about that Siren--Laena? Her intentions seem good enough at the moment, but I question her long-term motives. I'm sure you do as well. With Rand involved, the stakes are much higher. He'll be making his next move soon." The enigmatic Fury leans back on the wall next to the window, crossing his arms across his chest.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I don't trust her either, but I doubt she wants me dead. Something else I have, possibly. However, I'm far more concerned with Rand. He has a habit of appearing and revealing his plans when it's to late to stop him."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena smirks. "Consider yourself warned..." She disappears, reappearing in front of Gale's room. She knocks once then enters without any regard to the others in there.
"It appears that another has entered the castle. I was reluctant to kill her, however, without your consent." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Listen, Gale... I must be crazy for asking you this, but... For now, could you set aside your hate for Ayn? You're as much a problem as everyone else involved right now. You know full well if she dies, we all die." His eyes narrow, staring coldly at Gale from across the room. Fury One was strange and elusive when he did appear, but now he seemed dangerous. He had never been around long enough for anyone to notice before, but his eyes were a haunting dark red that could be seen even in darkness. His gaze suddenly shoots over to the door as Laena knocks. He smirks. "It seems your lost puppy's showed up again."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"You do realize the purpose of knocking on a door is to gain permission to enter, right?" Gale realized Laena was just going to do as she pleased, and since she had brought him out of TLC, he'd let it slide. A rariety for the Abbis. "You have permision. I don't care how, I just want the intruder gone without my castle missing a wall, understood? Summon, curse, it doesn't matter to me." Gale considered getting guards of some sort for a moment before answering Fury one. "As long as I don't have to worry about Ayn waltzing up to my door looking for me, I'll put aside my hatred, for the moment. Just remember anything she starts I fully intend to finish."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The siren bows her head in a nod, then turns to leave. "I am quite willing to kill Ayn.. for your own sake.."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Hmph. I have learned it is unwise to provoke her further when she is angry. If she was motivated enough she'd tear this castle to the ground. For now I shall leave her be unless she strikes first. This grudge is personal. I cannot allow anyone to fight these battles for me."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One's eyes snap back open on hearing Laena's words. He hadn't anticipated that. His eyes narrow again, this time somewhat agitated, and stay trained on Laena. "I wouldn't recommend that..."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Very well... I will take care of the intruder now, then." She walks out, closing the door quietly behind her.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Hm. At least now I don't have to deal with everyone intruder that waltzes in. It seems that my castle is a bit of a tourist attraction." Gale finishes his water and turns to Fury One. "Is there anything else?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Fury One thinks for a moment. "Yes, there is one more thing. The next time you see my brother, tell him not to hesitate to use Ranna anymore. Tell him it's what may allow him to surpass his creator." He climbs back into the window and pauses, deliberating something with himself. "Tell him his name's Phoenix." With that the first Fury brother turns and drops from the window.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Hm...so his name is Phoenix. Very well, I shall tell him." Gale turns to One. "I'm going to asleep. If anything goes wrong just wake me up." Gale sinks into his bed, dismissing conversation.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
When Rikali arrives at the library, Laena is standing in front of the doorway. "I pity your lack of intelligence. To research at a library that obviously will not have the information you seek is pointless. I'm afraid that Gale has asked me to end your miserable existence for him."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rikali sighs. This person was becoming irritating. "Just like Gale to get others to fight his fights. Listen, I have no grudge against you, nor do I have the time to fight you. Allow me to do my work in peace. And if, as you say, my I seek is not here, I will leave this place. I don't really want to be here much anyway."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One stays a few minutes after Gale has fallen asleep and just stares at him. He is pondering of the conversation that just took place, but he was asked to help guard the castle. Maybe Laena is still dealing with Rikali, he thought. But One remembers Fury One's warning about the Siren, One keeps them in mind, but for the moment continues doing what he's doing. He walks out to head to the library, where he believes they might be.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rikali, not waiting for Laena's answer, begins to search for any book that maybe helpful.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"You creatures are so foolish.. You think you are the master of yourselves, when you are only benefiting the earth when you die and rot..." She swings the blunt of her staff directly into Rikali's throat.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rikali catches the blow almost fully. She falls onto her back and clutches her throat, coughing and gasping. Keeping one hand on her badly injured neck, she slowly pulls herself to her feet. A hand flashes into the depths of the cloak.
((damn, why do you guys love picking on Riki's throat? First Fury-Nyx strangles and burns the hell out of it, now this?)) |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One turns the corner and sees the door to the library opened. He enters and sees what is going on. "Hey! Laena, slow down. Rikali, leave now and you'll avoid a nasty confrontation."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
((meh))
"A...little...late." Rikali gasps. She starts to back up some more. "Damn it, I don't need this right now!" |
